Working from home can be easy for some and more of a struggle for others. If you are a face-to-face kind of person, Microsoft Teams is here to help you stay connected with coworkers, wherever they may be.

  1. Make the most of meetings

The most effective meetings have a clear purpose. It’s important to have a meeting description to have everyone on the same page. Microsoft Teams is the best place to host meetings while working from home because video conference calls have never been easier! Recording meetings can also be beneficial to those who could not make the call. It saves time trying to explain what was spoken of and catching others up on the decisions that were made.

  1. Embrace the webcam

It is important to embrace the webcam. Not having the face-to-face meetings can be difficult on some and with video conference calls, this allows employees to have that face-to-face feel without physically being there. If you are worried about having a distracting background, Teams allows you to blur out your background. Video calls are most important now more than ever with a good amount people working from home.

  1. Share screens, files, and important documents

Considering our limitation with in person meetings/discussions, Microsoft Teams has the tools to share what you need, when you need to! In channels, create tabs for important files, websites, notes, or documents. This allows your team members to get access and physically see documentation you may have been talking about. If possible, hopping on a call and sharing your desktop/laptop screen could save you time and help with explanation.
