Windows or No Windows: Choose Wisely
While there’s no denying that Windows is too big to notice, issues like Windows admitting to serious security flaws in its Internet Explorer browser, for instance, have made it stand alone in an arena with blood-thirsty warriors ( read competitors) rapidly rushing in to fill in the gap.
There was Mozilla Firefox, Opera and then Google Chrome. While Christopher Null[1] does point out that 2011 will have you all primed up for Windows 8, will the Internet Explorer see a gradual, bed-ridden, infected death? Or will it rise from the ashes? While this remains uncertain and whether Windows 8 will floor us with an awesome browser only time will tell. Professionals and companies should now look to espouse a variety of browsers now available in the market. Make it a resolution or at least give it a try – for the sake of data security, if nothing else.
The world is now mobile; your company will be dragged into it: Prepare
A company won’t be judge by its sheer size or location spread anymore; those days are over. Telecommuting has come of age and the surge of smart phones, mobile devices like the iPad and the various competing tablet like devices, net books, etc., have made one thing clear: the future of work is through devices like these. You may add the powerful benefits off VoIP to it[2].
